Special events are a driving force of business in the line dancing industry. Country bars are attracting a wide variety of people by hosting and promoting concerts, live music, beverage discounts for 21+, and celebration of life events. The events thrive due to the unique community and exclusive experience provided by the bars for their guests.
Dallas Bull successfully markets to Tampa Bay through sold-out concerts, sink or swim nights, ladies' nights, celebration of life events, concert after parties, dance lessons, and incentivizing the public to help them reach their 1 millionth customer. Lively concerts with uprising artists take the stage on Friday nights to entertain fans, dancers, and tourists. In the last year, Dallas Bull hosted Dylan Scott, Chris Lane, Matt Stell, Tracey Lawrence, and many other artists with the help of their partner Bartow Ford. The bar is known for ladies' nights on Thursdays where women get four free drinks and occasional sink-or-swim nights for special events. Dallas Bull also utilizes celebration-of-life events to bring the community together to honor the life of country legends with events like Parrot Head Night for Jimmy Buffet and Red Solo Cup Night for Toby Kieth. The theme for Parrot Head Night was "Margaritaville" inspiring line dancers and bar-goers to dress up for the event and take photos holding a parrot while harmonizing Jimmy Buffet songs. During Red Solo Cup Night the bars at "The Bull" served drinks in red solo cups while Toby Kieth's music played and the community celebrated the life of a country music legend.
Cowboys Dance Hall is a newer country bar inviting guests to enjoy drinks, entertainment, and the dance floor. The venue utilizes special events to draw in beginners, bar-goers, line dancers, and anyone looking for a good time. Cowboys entertain the crowd with live music on Saturdays and occasional concerts with artists like Corey Smith and Tracie Lynn. Footloose Fridays and dance workshops invite beginners to learn turns, tricks and dips to line dance and partner swing dance like the pros. Outside of lessons and live music, Cowboys promotes 50% off at happy hour, sink or swim, and special events catered to Tampa Bay, holidays, and celebration of life with events like a NYE party, Toby Kieth Night, and Gasparilla after party.
OCC Roadhouse & Museum stands out as a distinctive line dancing venue, offering line dancing only one day a week. Wednesday nights are family nights where the whole family is invited to enjoy the music, eat at the restaurant, and line dance. Wednesday nights at OCC have evolved into a cherished weekly tradition for families and friends, as it's the exclusive opportunity during the week to enjoy line dancing, and if you arrive at the beginning of the night, take dance lessons. On other nights of the week, patrons come to OCC for bike nights, live music, and dinner.
